Rolex Submariner 14060m First thoughts
It's been several days now since the 14060m Sub No Date has graced me with its presence and might I say the love affair is still going.
Clean uncluttered dial.

Being no stranger to the Rolex brand I have had many but something was lacking.I'm a person who uses his watch so it needed to be practical and comfortable, and for some reason the SEL bracelet found on the Submariner 16610 was not comfortable, for me.This was instantly recognised when I would wear my Rolex T series GMT with the older style bracelet.
So the non SEL Sub was immediately thought of,however I wanted a new watch. Enter the 14060m:clap:

The other great thing was the 300m depth rating because of the Triplock crown (More so the bigger crown for fat fingers.:agree: )

Like its big brother it also features the Oyster fliplock clasp,

The big difference between the bracelets being the wetsuit extension which unclips from within the clasp.

Lume,

I am not wanting to go into movements etc as this has been pretty well covered elsewhere and to be quite honest it works and that's all I need.Other than that the Sub no date is a sturdy no nonsense watch that will give great service, with all the features of the big brother.
If you ever considered this one it is well worth the look.

Thanks guys for the kind comments and Steve I am not sure why it is more comfortable but I think they might be a little more flexible at the end link, which in turn allows it to sit better for me.

Good review, helped in my choice to buy the sub no date last week in HK. Seems several of us on this fourm have bought Sub No dates in the last several weeks! I am going to abuse the hell out of this watch!

Hey Aaron,
I love your camera work. Can you please post a few pictures of the extension links on this bracelet from different angles. I know it's different from the Sub-date one, so I'd just like you to share it with all of us.
Thanks - JJ

Great photos Aaron! I prefer the look of yours compared to my Sub/date but can't remember what day it is half the time. I still can't figure why I had to order a extra link for the Sub when I have room to tighten/loosen my GMT with no problem. It must have something to do with the divers extension which I need like an IRS audit. By the way, what's the difference between the oysterlock and the fliplock?

David,
The OYSTERLOCK bracelet is the one with the shorter clasp and no diver's extension links, and comes fitted on the YM, GMT-II and Exp-II.
The FLIPLOCK bracelet does have the diver's extension links and comes fitted on the SUBs and SD only.

Mechanically, does it means that it is not as good and accurate as those model that are having COSC?

The COSC and non-COSC 3130 movements in the 14060M are the same. Rolex is now submitting them for testing.
