Suggestion: Adding a "War Room" or "Firestation"

We got in some good tiffs at one time over politics and/or religion, we just figured that those are the things best left for other boards.

My feeling is that if someone is thin skinned and is easily offended at the drop of a hat that they warn us with a note in their profile and we can post accordingly around them.

A war zone would be fine...you would need to apply to use it. All topics okay...some moderation would be needed if posts were in bad taste or pornographic...but not moderated based on opinion or idea.

Then a regular forum (the rest) where politics and other volatile topics are off limits seems best.

We do this at: http://fordsix.com/forum/index.php and it works real well. I've been posting there for 5 years and seen no one get pissed and walk away.
