To be honest!!! looked at one[ real ] but to me! couldn't see the point in buying others memories!!, which is what IMHO vintage watches are about, todays daytona will be tomorrows vintage, with the thoughts and memories which are mine!!

I've got one, it's good value received for the money spent.

Btw, that's a great photo! I love the way you have the bezel and dial in focus, and the rest of the watch blurred.

Well lets be perfectly honest here now the vintage Daytona has in many peoples eyes a inferior a ETA Valjoux movement. And there are a few on this forum that would not buy a watch with a ETA movement. But somehow the word Rolex on the dial magically transports it to a higher plain. The same would be said by many about a chronometer and non chronometer movement. Now the vintage S.Steel movements were never tested.Only the all gold ones were, but exactly the same movement. Now I have both a 6263 and the Alpha, sure the 6263 is the better finished watch,so it should be when you compare the price. But is the 6263 as accurate in timekeeping as the Alpha then the answer is no.But there are many vintage chronos out there that have the same movement. But they don't get a second look,so I must ask do most wear a name or do they wear a watch,IMHO most today just wear a name.
