At Sams Club last night I noticed an Omega Seamaster for $14xx. I don't know much about them, and am not interested in purchasing it, but was curious as to whether that's a good deal and also thought I'd post it on here in case anyone wants it.

I think that is a good price, but I believe Sam's Club may be a grey market dealer hence warranty may not be honoured by Omega.

I know a friend of mine was looking at Omega 2531.80 before at Costco and he found out later that the s/n were filed or altered?? I'm not sure how true that is. If anyone who bought an Omega at these big box stores before, please confirm if the s/n are intact.

They are NOT an AD, so your warranty will not be honoured by Omega.
Not sure if they file the SN number, but hat would be easy to check. Just look at the 5 o'clock lug.
Keep in mind that if they file that off, they also file off the movement SN as well. And that means that the watch has been opened and little debris of metal could be in the movement. If the SNs are off, I'd RUN.

YUp agreed, the SN is a must. But if it has it, sounds like a good price for BNIB.
