I have often been bumped offline from the forum without being logged out. Is this caused by switching between forum topics, no keystrokes in a given time interval, or what? If I stay in one topic it seems not to occur. Just curious.

Thanks

Likely an issue you your browser settings - perhaps not accepting cookies is the issue. The forum runs vbulletin - I frequent half a dozen vbulletin forums daily and NONE of them log me out. What browser do you use? What OS? Have you tried firefox?

I'm running Win XP Media Center and aol 9.0 with cookies enabled. If I jump from this forum topic to General Rolex or other I will no longer be listed as an active member until I log in again in that specific forum topic.

I just got kicked out again while trying to post a quick reply. I had to log in again to post this. ???

Did you set the option to be always logged-in?

I dont have that selected and therefore, the forum locks me out after a set amount of time. This has occurred since the ownership change.. I assume something was adjusted by the new owner.

This isnt a secure bank site holding important personal information, why cant it auto log you out after say 2hours and not minutes?

I'm beginning to think that it depends on which PC I'm using at the time. I will try to verify that. Yes--the problem seems to be specific to my new Gateway PC. The others work OK.
