Nice report. And an interesting watch. You can certainly see the connection back to Panerai, give me a Panerai any day!
Given you are one of the rare Anonimo dealers in Australia... could this post be considered 'shilling'???? Not sure I fully undersand the exact meaning of the term 'shilling' so if someone wants too put my on the right page, go for it. I am not being nasty or anything... I'm just wondering thats all.
Am I the only one thinking this?????

Hi Amanda -
I don't think this post is endorsement for Anonimo or my business. It really is just another review of a particular watch. I sell hundreds of watches every year and repair thousands of them so in essence every single post here could be interpreted as endorsement or promotion. However I don;t think that any watch manufacturer is interested in my opinion - I am very opinionated and not so kind reviewer.
Saying all above I do understand and appreciate that all watch forums are very territorial so I have no problem having this post (or even all them) removed.
The loss is not mine.
Thats cool Nick, I was more 'thinking out loud' and wanted to see if I was off base with my thoughts. I like your posts, especially the bracelet wear and tear and the case polish you did, very interesting... I'd like to see more of that type of thing.... so no, dont go or delete anything!
I was just being open and honest too

I'll do my best to keep further post educative and entertaining.
As you can see, I am not of English speaking background so
every post is bit of struggle - please don;t expect too much from me :-)
That's supposed to be an apostrophe, not a semi-colon :chuckle: :dummy: :justkiddi

Thanks for the review Nick.
Don't know that the watch is for me (personally), but it is always interesting to hear what others have to say about different models whatever their paradigm.
The watch is very interesting and I like it in a number of ways.
47 jewels is a lot, has the base ETA movement been modified or finished by the manufactory?

Also, I have noticed I am probably the only person here who
signs post with real name which makes me exposed and liable
for what I say. It would be too easy for me to hide behind
nick name or hotmail address, but I choose not to.
Unsigned posts are often cheap talk.
How do I know that you are not affiliated with
some other manufacturer therefore you dislike my posts on that basis?

Oh you edited this post and added more... so I'll comment on the addition..
My name is 'Amanda' I work in IT and live in Melbourne, I've met people off this site and regularly correspond with friends I've made from TRF and Paneristi from all over the world. I like watches, I mostly look at them because my budget doesn't allow me to own many watches. So far I've got a Panerai Logo 005 and thats it. I'm as honest as they come... and sometimes shoot off my mouth without thinking... thats how honest I am! And you can see this from my original remark above! I'm also happy to admit if I was wrong too

Looked at some at a store today. First I have ever seen them. Kind of like Panerais, but half the cost. Actually really nice. I actually may consider getting one. 42mm in diameter. The Lum was great on the Militare I checked out. Very simple watch.
I learn much from you .than you ,nick.

Informative post Nick and much appreciated.
I've personally been quite interested in the Anonimo Polluce, I really like the use of brass which is uniuqe and which offers a very interesting look.
I'm always thinking of the future when considering a new watch, so Nick, do you think that the Anonimo/ETA movement will always be easily serviced by any competent watch repairer?
Thanks,
Chris

Honesty and shooting off your mouth don't go together. The latter is more a self regulation problem that you should address.

Not my cup of tea,
The watch has a very large case, i'm not keen on watches this size as they tend
to have a much smaller movement ( probably ETA or something)
The result of this as you can see is the chronograph is located towards the centre of the watch and the date is very small
in proportion to the rest of the watch.
Big case should equal big movement ie IWC Portugeiser(?)
More in house movement please that fill the WHOLE case and make use of a large face and are unique
to that particular watch.
by the way a good report , i take it you're not going to buy one
