Probably the only thing worth catching there are crabs. There are numerous crab pots hanging off this pier.....

Well Al I would have thought it was perfectly obvious just by looking at the
bridge structure.So obviously not designed for cars or trains,but for walking
hence a footbridge.All others designed for cars trains etc we call a bridge,
or sometimes for trains a viaduct or if it carries a waterway a aqua duct. :chuckle: :thumbsup: :cheers:

To our UK bruddas... why do English people say 'warsh' instead of wash?

Why do they call the TV a 'tele' when I would think a 'tele' could also be a phone?

Sorry John but in my part of the country we say wash not warsh.As for the T.V short for Tele-vision,another great British invention, shorter again Tele, simple isn't it just like the English language. :chuckle: :cheers: :thumbsup:

But it's not a footbridge. It's a dock - even though there are no boats tied up at this one. A bridge generally bridges a gap. A dock sticks out into the water and is a place for boats to tie up.

If the wooden structure in the picture, dont span the the both banks of
the water,then yes it would be called a pier, or sometimes a jetty, or a landing jetty. :clap: :chuckle: :thumbsup:
