I'm currently in British Columbia, Canada and I had an opportunity to have lunch with John, aka Launch Mini, in Vancouver. He was kind enough to bring me some of his Panerais for me to look at. So here are some photos that I took, although they don't do justice on the beauty of them.

Here's a photo of John and I that the waitress took. She must had a thing for John since he was much more in focus than I am. :agree: Unfortunately she disappeared before I was able to get a shot of her.

While waiting for John, I had to keep myself occupy with the hostess. :naughty:

I was wearing my Rolex LV, although hidden underneath my jacket. Maybe I should taken it off when she was sitting next to me. :banghead:

Too bad I'll miss you when you're in Seattle. I need to get myself down to Austin some time. Let me know when you're back in Dallas.

Check out you guys! Between the watches and the waitress and the hostess....it's all deadly. Sounds like a successful outing!

Vu, pardon my total ignorance of Panerai watches, but what is the name of the black faced watch with the double crown in the main picture you have posted ?....a total stunner !
Is it a "classic" ie no longer available, or can it still be purchased BNIB ?
And if still available, what would the cost be ?
(you will probably tell me it hasnt been produced for 30 years and costs a fortune....but thats the price you pay when you are trying to find out new things.....and I dont mind appearing a bit thick !)

THe double crown is a PAM 98.
Not 100% sure of the cost, but around $8000 and is still available if you can find them.

Gorgeous watch indeed, did a quick check on eBay, and found this preowned Pam 98 beauty - http://cgi.ebay.ca/Panerai-Pam-98-Radiomir-GMT-Alarm-Stainless-Steel_W0QQitemZ160122279451QQihZ006QQcategoryZ3138 7QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm pretty ignorant of Panerai watches as well, but John is very inform and can probably answer any question you have in reference to them. And I will agree with you that the PAM 98 is a stunner. Out of all the ones that were shown to me, that was my favorite and I had the good fortune of trying it on.
I would definitly consider a Panerai as a possible dress watch in the future.

Thanks Jason, always nice to have a rough idea of the price....I'm probably a couple of years away from even thinking about buying one, but as Vh bu98 says below, the PAM 98 is a beautiful looking dress watch......I do have a preference for a leather strap on a "going out "watch:smokin:

:D smooth Pam GMT. love that leather strap. the waitress is very nice, but she appears to be weighed down with the cares of this life.
