Bought a PO black face on rubber strap at AD yeterday. An impulse buy at a decent price. For now I'm pleased with it but may take it back... Will its 42mm size grow on me?

I think the 42mm size is perfect. the 45.5mm PO is too big IMHO. even though it is 42mm, actually wears smaller and looks similiar to a 40mm watch.

Do not have a PO, but definately have my eye on one.

What color bezel and dial did you get?

Can't beat the lum, coaxial and 3 year warranty on your new PO. Also the non reflective glass and domed crystal is really nice.

Let us know after you wear it awhile how it compares to your Sub.

Definately the PO fits the description of a Mechanical Tool watch.

Black bezel. I really like the matte black face and lume hands. What I'm not crazy about is the way the rubber band attaches to the case. Doesn't allow the watch to rest on its back...

Maybe you should order a SS Bracelet or try it with the leather strap and deployment buckle that Omega has. I wa really impressed by the Deployment buckle that OMega has for it's leather strap and the new synthetic strap.

Had an Omega PO 42.5mm version (black bezel, white arabic numbers) on SS bracelet.

It is a good watch, but had to sell it due to financial obligations. If one crosses my path again, I'd probably get it.

Even though the 45.5 is a big watch, I heard that it wears like a 43-44mm.

Congratulations on your new PO. It's a very fine watch, so I hope you will enjoy it.

Congrat! Personally I think the PO is as good as Submariner for half the price. To be fair, the name Rolex costs an additional $2400. But Omega is also a prestige brand name too just not as well known as Rolex to non-WIS.

Btw, I would recommend buy one with bracelet because it would be much cheaper buying the rubber strap later than the bracelet.

It certainly is! So why this sudden impulse purchase in the first place?

Always wanted a PO, but not in place of an anniversary SS GMT..

The rubber strap is about USD 200. So it definitely makes more sense to get the bracelet version.

The PO is definitely a great watch. I kind of regret selling it off but it is too hugh for my 6.5" wrist.

Does your AD not have a "30 day return" policy?

The Omega PO is imo a hot watch. I own the orange bezel version w/ orange alligator strap, also the black w/ black rubber strap.

Forget about trade in - resale etc. - this is not a hobby to make money with. Like most great hobbies it costs money.

Enjoy your PO in good health!!! Larry.

No one's trying to make money here Larry. Trust me, I've flipped enough watches and cars over the last 20 years to know that income production and hobbies rarely, if ever, meet.
