Guys, I'm not going to lock this thread, yet. If anyone has any more abbreviations, please add them to the thread. But, let's keep it to serious posts only. I know, I hate being too serious too, but it's been getting confusing for some of the newer guys to search through the list for the abbreviations they need.
Thanks again, everyone

Call it what it is, an engraved rehaut.
I'm guilty of this... Technically, a chapter ring is marked with indices for some purpose, whether it be minutes, time elapsed, or some other function. It is usually seperate from the rehaut and does not perform the same purpose. The rehaut is indeed the spacer or flange that sets the spacing between the dial and crystal. Therefore, I suggest the acronym CRB be re-assigned to OBR for "Overly Branded Rehaut"... :chuckle: :dummy:

Could somebody please tell me what "Bump" means.
Thank you

Bump is like TTT (To the top) meaning 'bumping' this thread back to the top of the recently read list. Lots of times, a person will just post 'bump' or TTT on an old, buried thread to re-establish it's visibility on the first page of a forum. Pretty common if you're selling something. Some forums discourage it's use and consider it bad 'netiquette'...

Stupid questions, where is the M in PAM come from? Why not PAN?
Good question, I've wondered about that too...
I found the answer from an FAQ from a Panerai site.
29.Q: If all watches made by OP are Panerais, why are the individual reference numbers for Panerais called "PAMs?"
A: PAM stands for PAnerai Model.
