Very good news! At least according to my husband, it is very unusual for a contractor to be ahead of schedule.

Yes, that is most unusual, Carolina. These guys were originally scheduled to complete the entire complex by Sept. 08; but by the look of things, completion seems will occur in June of this year!!!
Hopefully, Zemina and I can move into our unit 60 by mid-Feb - just 3 weeks away!!:clap:

With just one more large block to go, we reckon these guys will be all finished by June!!!!

Congragulations JJ, by the way moving at 100 miles an hour or 10 depends on just one thing money money money, they will move fast as long as you pay, otherwise it will wait wait and wait as one of our houses, and if you dont pay immediately if you pay together with neighbours and if some will not pay on time its pain in ass here I hope you dont have that problem =))

I know what you mean, Aykun; but fortunately, we got a large lump sum from the City Council and other guys we sued during the Mediation we had in Dec. 06.
That money is still going strong although we still have to top it up with some from our own pockets to meet the final bill of over $5 million (NZ dollars). :banghead:

That's great news JJ. We had our master bath redone last year and it seemed to take forever. Glad things are moving quickly.
An aesthetics question, if you would. Is it bothersome that the roof of your carport is in the middle of the window? Even the ones that look a bit higher would seem to block much of the natural light from entering. I assume this was how it was. Anyway to get them to raise it, or are you fine with it?

Good observation, but it doesn't affect the natural light factor. Plenty of light and a very bright kitchen. Right now, it appears dark because of the overhang and scaffolding.
Can't wait to get back into my own home very soon!!!

Wow, that's some real money going into this project:
5,000,000.00 NZD = 3,840,635.01 USD = 2,616,996.79 EUR = 1,945,001.90 GBP
Also known as 2,278.864 platinum ounces (Hi Platty!!!.) :chuckle:
Does the builder have an incentive to get it done early? Put a performance bonus of a percent or three, and sometimes it can be quite amazing how fast things get done.
