Illegals or right wingers blaming "the home of the brave and the free" for wanting immigrants to be law abiding citizens. Why must illegals be afraid of being deported? hmmmmm Oh I get it, it's because they ARE ILLEGAL! I do not debate the fact Oklahoma was built by "immigrants" and a lot of us are God fearing people but, I feel the American people will come to blows with those who wish to fight us from with in about this. I never had to go to Mexico or any of the other countries to fight for their rights. So, why is it we let them come into our country and deman their ? civil ? rights. Hog wash, to the back of the bus and next exit, your legal side of the boarder!
rant over for the moment!

Sorry, but I'm a lot more concerned with the economy, the continuing devaluation of the dollar, corporate control of our government and airwaves, the incredibly stupid war we're involved in, the growing divide between the very wealthy and the rest of us, the insane policies towards the environment, the destruction of our civil liberties in the name of security and the ignorance of the American people as to the real issues that will affect their children. Immigration, legal or otherwise, is low on my list of emergent problems in this country and world.
So let's just stick to watches, huh? Just my humble opinion.

I have changed my answer here a few times. I see this thread being closed for being too political.
If all 50 states did what Oklahoma did, then the illegals would be able to go home and fix
their own country. But that takes work and responsibility.
I'm am immigrant who learned the language, became a citizen and never looked back. I do not fly the flag of the nation where I was born, nor demand special recognition.

You are the exception.. Too many "people" especially here in SD, feel they are still in "another country" and want EVERYONE to conform to their previous way of life. I have nothing against respecting and embrasing your heritage, BUT, If you came to this, or any other country, you must assimilate the culture not establish your own enclave and never learn the language, laws, ETC...
I am done ranting now... I will now accept my ban

I have a honest question. Do you live where there are a LARGE number of illegals?? If not, I could show you how illegals are destroying California and that wave will be coming to a neighborhood near you soon if it has not already... It is a REAL issue that needs to be addressed sooner than later.
I hope you can look at my point of view and respect it as I have done with yours.

I do, in fact, live where there are an incredible number of immigrants, legal and otherwise, irish, polish, hispanc, et al. My answer stands, although I acknowledge your concerns.

Wow. Illegal aliens who allowed their child to die rather than face discomfort for themselves being portrayed as victims.
Go figure.
