I was hoping Jo-Wilfried Tsonga would win the Australian Open. Credit where credit's due, though - Novak Djokovic played a good match and kept Tsonga on the defensive instead of playing his own kind of game.

Yeah, me too but he didn't seem as dominating after the first half of the second set. I hope there will be big things in Tsonga's future - his demolition of Nadal was exquisite tennis!

Tsonga played a great game in the 1st set before faltering to the steady serb Djokovic. Nice to see different faces in the Grand Slam finals. Credit should be given where due - Hats off to Tsonga for taking out Murray, Youzny and Nadal.

Yes, Janet and I watched it last night. I expected Tsonga to win but in the end Novac was fitter IMO.
It was a great match.

I actually thought Tsonga was fitter than Djokovic, Eddie - Djokovic seemed to fade a bit from the third set. Between the two, I think Djokovic did a better job of reading his opponent's style and adapting to it.

I agree, James....especially after the way Tsonga annhilated the world No.2, Nadal, in 3 straight sets just a couple of days earlier.
It turned out to be a great match in the end....and Tsonga was very gracious in defeat.

Pity that doesn't apply in Test Cricket!!

After the recent goings on with Australia v. India I thought it was fair comment.
Can't figure out the question marks response.
