Novak Djokovic won Australian Open!!!
He become first Serbian player in history that acomplished such a thing!
So,change of official time keeper(Rolex instead of Rado) bring luck to Novak and joy to all Serbs in the world!
Like I said,ALL HAIL TO THE KING!

Great match!

Atmosphere is unbelievable!I think that all 7 000 000 residents of Serbia watched match on TV!And I was in all-the-time phone contact with my cousins in Montenegro, and people there watched and celebrated, too!
And when Novak won...it`s national euforia!
We have presidental elections in Serbia in February and I think that if Djokovic would be candidate,he`d won with minimum 90%!!!
Since the time of Vlade Divac and his plays for Lakers and Kings,Serbia didn`t have such an idol.
And thanks for some Bulgarian,Velitsko! It`s nice to see some language similar to Serbian on this forum!

I still thought that the 5 set match between Federer and Tipsaravic in the third round was my favorite match to watch in the tournament. It was an excellent match in every way.

 As usual, the Aussies put on another fine event. The Australian Open is one of my faves, and it was nice to see someone other than Roger Federer win. :chuckle:

Congratulations Vukotab,
There's nothing quite like having one of your countrymen recognized for their accomplishments.
I'm Irish/Italian but have many friend of Serbian decent and have had my share of Slivivovica in celebrating holidays, wedding, births and the passing of loved ones.
Good people, good life-long friends.
Enjoy, celebrate and be well!

Great playing by Novak. By the beginning of the second set you could see that he had gotten a handle on Tsonga's playing style and was coming up with good countermeasures.
