Ok, checked out the video... These appear to be highly overdriven lasers adapted to a std. Maglight. Novelty at best. Not sure about the wavelength though. Appear to be white light, not red or green. Care to elaborate, Bo...??

I don't think it's an HID light since they usually don't glow up to full power immediately. It is a laser light, and to be honest my main interest are LED lights. But there is a forum for laser lights on CPF where you can learn more about them. But I would guess it is a real battery killer!

Yeah, I realized that it wasn't HID after seeing the video. I'm into LED flashlights also. I own at least 4-5 ARC AAA lights in various colors including the LE and UV, probably the same amount of CMG Infinity's, 3 and 5 watt Luxeon lights, Streamlight, Surefire E2 Executive, Innova, and many others. Almost as bad as watch stuff... :eek: :thumbsup:

You are correct. I looked it up because I was interested. It has a battery life of 15 minutes. I think I will stick with my LED flashlight
