Checked with a Mod first: didn't want to be accused of wantonly offering sax for a Rolex :chuckle:

WTT: a pro standard Selmer Paris Super 80 Series II Alto saxophone / Selmer C* mouthpiece & Selmer case for a Rolex sport model (pref recent SS GMTII / SS Sub Date / SD) or w.h.y. (with cash adjustment as necessary)?

If you are a sax player, you will know of this model of instrument: if not: why not learn a fantastic new skill?

All in excellent condition, about 6 years old and still as per the current series II model. Has been kept as "standby" instrument - mostly in case with pad savers fitted - and has never left studio (i.e. Never "gigged"). New recommended price is circa £3000 (discounted to around £2k with case etc) with best indications of current s/h price in UK about £1500. I don't really need the cash: I just want to think that the sax is being used ....and what better than to trade for another watch!

I believe this will have to be limited to a UK trade: ideally the instrument should be seen, inspected and played. The sax is on the Isle of Wight at present, but I could deliver to much of Southern England or arrange UK delivery.

Please PM me if at all interested and thanks for looking.

Nick

Veronica is making progress thanks, but slowly.... she always has been a hopeless and difficult patient, she hates slowing down and misses her hectic work and social life.

She's well worth the effort though! :agree: :agree: :agree:

Damn! I missed this one and everyone beat me to the good comments......

:banghead:

How about this:

JJ, if you do buy this sax make sure you really want it, because when you go to flip it no one will want it after your lips have been on it.:chuckle:

Hmmm, makes me wonder about all the watches now.......

No, just the opposite: you lose all track of time when playing a sax! :agree: :agree:

The sax is freakin awesome! I just got a new Yamaha Allegro pro-line this summer and I'm loving it. That is a great horn you've got for trade. Too bad it isn't like a sax for a Rolex. I'd do that one.....Maybe. I love the sax.
