which one would you guys get? A santos 2 tone 100 or a pannie 44mm luminor marina gmt. debating on what to get i was leaning towards the pan but, they just make me feel uneasy about tehm. Because with all their special edition watches and i was thinking they might be like bvlgari. so suggestions please:thumbsup:

They are such different watches.
The Pannie is alot more versatile
I think it would be determined by what you have.
The Cartier is not a daily wear
Dinner once a month?

If you are unsure, I would recommend skipping it altogether, seriously.
That being said, I wear a Panerai way more than any other watch and have owned most every Rolex sport model made. But if you have doubts, just move on to another brand.
The Santos is a very cool watch, I have tried it on and loved it on the wrist, which is strange since I am not a fan usually of that case design.
Get the one that really talks to you, if you are buying for investment or resale only, stick with Rolex. Best of luck, the 88 is one of my favorite models, I owned one and will own another again. :thumbsup:

How can a Cartier not be a daily wear watch? I know someone who's been wearing a Santos as their daily watch for 20 years and he loves it.
Do you work on an oil rig, by chance? LOLOL
BTW, IMO you can't compare any Panny to any Cartier. That's like asking if you should buy a Rolex Sub or an A. Lange & Sohne chrono. Totally different in look and feel.
Ideally, get both! But my guess is the Panny will get the lions share of use.

I don't like the Santos 100 at all, so it would be an easy choice for me. ;-)
If we were comparing the Santos Dumont model, then I'd swing the other way. I like that one a lot. But the Tank Chinois is the one that will probably get my money. :-)

The only watch I would consider to be something "not for daily wear" would be some sort of grand complication, but more because it would be expensive to repair if anything happened to it.
You seem to think only a sport's watch can be a daily wearer - not sure why. :thinking: I wear "non-sports" watches virtually every day.

I read that the crown isn't a screw in type and it only a 3BAR watch (30m) so I would be worried wearing it in wet weather!
The Panerai looks tough and a more 'outdoorsy' type watch. Ewan McGregor wears one, but his pal Charlie wears a Submariner. Panny might be good, but I wouldn't rate it in the same box as Rolex. Just my opinion for what it's worth...
