Rev:

I had to start a new thread here. For some reason, I couldn't open a new thread on the Website Specific Topics board.

Anyway, the idea of a chat room could be good, although, I find that people tend to step all over each other if too many people are in there at once. I have gotten to where I don't go into the chat room very often, but if it can be added without much difficulty, it might be worth doing.

I plan on installing the option. If it is used...great. If not...no problem. It is easy to install. I will upgrading the forum software shortly, so I'll install it then.

Thanks

Has that been an option on other forums?

I like the idea but must admit I don't linger very long in chat rooms. It's a nice option to have.

Installed. Nothing great, but functional and avaialble if needed.

Thanks for that, Rev.

I'm not sure if this software supports the function, but on another forum I'm on, the chatroom activity is actually displayed on a small window next to the main menu. That's a handy feature because someone who's browsing can also see what's being discussed in the chatroom without having to enter it specifically. Should they be interested in the discussion and wish to join the chat, they simply need to click the chatroom link.

Like I said, I'm not sure if such a function is supported by this forum software, but perhaps we could keep it in mind for future upgrades?
