I recently purchased a Seiko 5 to play with (take apart for one thing, but haven't done it yet). The bracelet is a folded link style, looking a bit like an Oyster knock-off. Does anyone out there know what the correct tool/method is for removing the pins from the breacelet? I need to size it, but don't want to mess it up too much.......

Thanks, Al

Those type of bracelets have collars over the pins to hold them in
try this link for information on how to remove its quite easy to do think they are all very similar.

Hey Padi...I think the bracelet you refer to is the one on the Monsters (SKX779 & SKX781).

The folded link bracelet doesn't have the collars. If you look at the underside of the bracelet, there should be a hole to put a small screwdriver (or something similar) into. Then just push against the bump in the direction of the arrow. These bracelets are a PITA to size. :dummy:
