Hello all,
Good to be back.Been flat out lately with work blah, blah, blah but i just thought i would show you all my 40th birthday present.
Yes its a Panerai 112.The daughter took some quick snaps but i will post some more soon. And the strap has already been changed.
Having sold my 111 a while back i really regretted doing that so i was itching to get another. All i need now is a Pam Rad and a sub date/sea dweller and i will be a happy camper.Yes i am already thinking of the next one...............
sad but true.
cheers

Hey, silverman, glad to have you back here. And belated happy 40th.
I gotta admit, there is something about the simplicity of that dial that catches the eye. Not quite ready to give in, but you enjoy it and wear it in good health.

Ed, you know it's only a matter of time before you cross over to the dark side. Don't fight it... just go to the AD and get that PAM88. You KNOW you want it.

I'll tell you the same thing I just posted in response to CJ's similar admonition. I've been to the ADs and tried on several at different times. For some reason they just seem too big and bulky to me. And, as I said to Craig, this from someone who wears a 43.5 mm Breitling and a 43 x 13.4 mm GP ww.tc. I can't figure it out. Maybe it's that big ass crown guard that makes it seem so much bigger.

I saw your post to Craig... but I also see some chinks in your armour. You're weakening... I can tell. It won't be long until you are assimilated. Resistance, btw, is futile. :smokin:

Rockrolex,
I have a Breitling chrono evolution which is 43.5mm but the panny seems much bigger (more than the 0.5mm).The bezel on the Breitling is substantial but the panny is all face with bugger all bezel, maybe thats why.The radiomirs are 45mm but dont look as big as the luminors. So maybe your comment about the crown guard is true.
Its a bugger getting under the work business shirt though.

That's the same problem I have with both the Breitling and the GP. That's one reason I never wear them with long sleeve shirts when I have to button the cuffs. :banghead: :banghead:

Thats why my next purchase will be based on a "work watch".
A Panerai Radiomir is thinner than the luminors but also looking at a 16610 or SD.I love the IWC Portuguese white face with blue croc strap.I must say its difficult having a Panny and not wearing it regularly. Its so versatile where you change the strap and you have a different look.

A Pannie? Those are just oversized trendy watches that will have no staying power. At least that is what people keep telling me. :dummy:
I love the 112! I have mine on right now and can't get enough of it.
The Radiomir would also be a great compliment to it. Hard to believe but the 210 and the 112 are so different when you wear them you would not believe it! I sya either a 210 or a 183 next.
I like the BASE models, can you tell? :chuckle:

Beauty of a watch/strap combo.
I haven't "distressed" one of mine, yet, but I think i will be doing so soon.

That's a gorgeous watch there Silverman!
Happy 40th too!
I agree with Aaron, not too many pans in australia, i think.
If I may be so bold as to ask.....which store did you get it from?
I think it's time I start looking.....
either that, or I'm going on a cruise.
