I am not sure to be afraid or pleased.
My wife has started wearing my Panerai's.
Well , one in particular, this would be my White Faced 113.
She has only commented a bit, that it is a bit large, and I have caught her reading my Panerai Catelogue.
So my dilema is, Do I just let her wear mine, or make the trip down to my AD and pick up one of her own?
So far only my purchases, Karma has been working on my side. If the watch I am looking for is not in the store, it has shown up in short order.
So I called the AD, and guess what, they have a white dial 49 in stock. This is the 40 mm, so it would fit her nicely, AND, they have only ONE OEM strap in stock for this, that happens to be the pink alligator.
This would be a nice jesture on my part, but it would take a bite out of my PAM98 watch fund.
Decisions, decisions.

...So my dilema is, Do I just let her wear mine, or make the trip down to my AD and pick up one of her own?...
So... Here's the deal as I see it - If you really want the watch that she is wearing as your own, then you MUST go to your AD and pick one up for her. If, on the other hand, you really don't mind her wearing that one, and are willing to give it up and get another for yourself later, then she keeps it!
Fair enough? That'll be $1,500 dollars please. A cashier's check will do!!! :chuckle: :chuckle:

Well.... you sure are one lucky guy! I think there's nothing better looking than a large watch on a lady's wrist. That's a tough quandry though, but I guess it would also be another panerai to look at. And a nice gesture as well....
just my 2c...
Good luck mate!

Definately buy her one! Sharing a watch with your wife would be like sharing a car with your wife, Impossible!:dummy: Atleast if she's anything like my wife. I bought my wife a 48 and now she leaves mine alone.

Let her wear it for awhile.
Then comment on how large her left forearm is becoming, and assymetrical .
The watch will be back in your drawer.

Noooo! We already have the "does my bum look big in these?" problem, and I don't think we need anything along the lines of "Does this make my arm look big/small ?"
Unless of course they decide to release a special edition panerai called the "Catch 22",

Hmm, Maybe you could find a cute Bum strap.
Pannie ettes pride themselves on versatile straps.
That could lead to some interesting interraction.

Maybe she wants your attention
the watch is just her tool?
Actually ...
dman is correct.
Buy her a watch she loves and you can wear it both ways.

It happened.
I left work a bit early so we could head to Vancouver.
Traffic was horrid and we made it to the AD pretty close to closing time.
I called from the car, and Natasha ( my AD) said she would stay a bit later for us, and put the Pink Gator on the 49 for her before we got there.
We were 5 minutes late, but they were still cleaning up, so we didn't feel too bad showing up late. They still treated us as if we had arrived mid-day. ( offered coffee, water etc the usual)
Cindy absolutely loved the 49. To be 100% sure, she did look at the others and preferred the 49 over the blue or black 40mm.
So , we have a new addition to the family. I will try for some picks, but I might have to wait until she's asleep to get it off her wrist.
It is a very nice looking combo on her.

While I have NO IDEA what a 49, 40, or 113 means.. :banghead: :banghead: I am glad to see that you were able to get another watch, especially one for your wife.
Faith hates watches... and I doubt that I will get another one anytime soon, but I remember the joy I got from seeing her face light up when she first saw an Omega Constellation Mini.... and I remember the joy I got when I presented it to her for our one year engagement anyversary.
If you got just half that joy I got... the you know you did the right thing!
Cheers mate!
Now where are the pics so I can put a watch with all those numbers that are spining in my brain right now!:banghead: :banghead:

Great move pal!! Pass along my heartfelt congrats and tell her to wear it with the same Pride and PASSION that you wear your with!
I am not sure if it is better or worse that my wife still prefers the diamond over the watch? :dummy:

Great move John... but seriously, the pink strap is for you, isn't it? LOL
As D said, this will take a chunk out, but pay big dividends down the road. Now that you have matching PAMs, will you start wearing matching track suits, buy a Winnibego and travel North America? ROTFLMAO!
