I came across a website for a Hong Kong company that says they have the equipment to tighten Rolex bands. They disassemble the bands, install new pins and reassemble the bands.

Has anyone ever heard of them or used them?

I would love to have the band on my DD Bark tightened. The website says the cost to do an 18K President band is $650. It would be worth that to me if the company is reliable and if I would get my original band back, not a reproduction.

Do a search here for Michael Young and classicwatchparts.com Some members here have had outstanding results using Michael's services.

Thanks, that is the same company I am asking about. I have already sent an email to Michael Young and have received a reply. The current cost to tighten my DD band is $850. I think I am going to proceed & send my band to Michael to be tightened.

If this is successful, I will be able to wear my watch without concern that the band might break and the value of my watch should be substantially increased.

I had someone do that to 1 of mine a few years ago.It looked really good when I got it back but than after a few weeks of daily wear a few links started to bind. It wasnt perfect and I wasnt happy so I sold the watch and moved on.I think its hit or miss when you do this. I have also seen wear they take your endpieces off and put a new Italian gold bands links on your clasp and endpieces.
