Bezel... it seams to spin both ways now..

I have a sub, and the bezel used to spin counter-clockwise only.. I think I jarred it at work or something because it does spin both ways. Clockwise spin is not easy to do, but it will do it when pushed slightly hard. But it does not feel natural. Should my sub's bezel be so strong as to never spin the other way? Is this common? Thanks for any help!

You need a new spring click more then likely. Cost about 50-75 dollars instaled also i dont force my bezel to go against the grain. But if i did im sure it would.

I recently paid $10 for spring. You can replace this yourself easily.

I do -however- recommend you not wear the watch for fear that you may lose the bezel all together. It could pop out (it also happened to me once after a service)...

There could be one of two issues here..

First, and the easiest to fix, is a broken or worn wire spring that rides under the bezel. The bezel is removed, the old wire removed, and a new wire dropped in. In the old days, I've bent a piece of wire myself to use; these wires springs are not a technological marvel. As Vanessa says, many watchmakers at Dealers will change it for free. Apparently though, others might have a minimum shop charge that you will have to pay.

Second, you might have a worn bezel, where the teeth inside that the wire rides against is grooved......... If it is this, new bezels cost about 300 bucks..

Here is the wire spring. You can see that it is bent up to catch the inner bezel teeth in only one direction... But it is just a piece of wire that can get broken or bent out of place easily.
