All those tiny parts...

Watchmakers -

I was just thinking, with all those small internal parts how do you know which ones are fake/aftermarket or real OEM parts? I can't see where Rolex would be able to put any markings on all of the parts.

I have never once come across generic Rolex parts that come any where close to the quality of genuine ones. Basically I can tell because the finish isnt as good, or the pivots are JUST the wrong size.

Also, there are certain parts that Rolex make in a different way, that is unique to them, and often the fakes dont copy this.

I figured as much. It seems it comes down to the trained eye of a watchmaker then. I was just curious. I appreciate the answer.
