just wondering if you can clean pivots, jewels, teeth, leaves etc., with rodico, pegwood, pithwood and a blower alone. basically, i'm asking if you can clean parts properly without using cleaning solution and ultrasonic vibrations. i know it would take more time, but could you still make a proper job of it?

No. Blasphemy!!
Rodico is undeniably usefull. But it leaves parts far from clean. You will almost always have a greasy deposit left after using rodico.
Unfortunatly for would be watch repairers, to properly, even to do a half good job, you need appropriate cleaning compounds.
