Ah well, the collection's remained stagnant for a while, :boring: so I thought I might just change the scenery:

The hell with the watches. I love your taste in whisky, James. Laphroig is one of my favorites. I've been to the distillary and enjoyed some of their samples.

Never been to the distillary, but like the 10yr old Laphroaig single malt .
It is a favourite of Prince Charles, but I expect he gets his
free.

Aww, you didn't dive into their tanks? :chuckle:
Anyway, somebody up there must have liked me on my last flight to Melbourne - not only did I get bumped up from economy to first class, Laphroaig was going at two 1-litre bottles for $90!
Next on my must-try list is Cardhu!

James, if you really like single malts, see if you can find a bottle of a 30 yr old Balvenie. I tried a dram when I was last in London. It tasted like a honeyed whisky. An unbelievaly smooth taste. The could be my second favorite single malt, the first being the 25 yr old Macallan.

Whoa, 30 years old? I've got the 12 year old Balvenie and that's really smooth already!
You know, in light of the way the discussion's going, the thread title seems to have taken on a completely new meaning! :chuckle:

How right you are, James. What a way to hijack a thread without changing the title.

No, no, we'd just have a civilised reminder about thread integrity or something of the sort. :chuckle:
