Sorry, I just saw this thread....I can talk to scott @ Orlando Watch Co. to get this together. He mentioned he can do some catering and he has a courtyard at his shop where we can eat, drink, etc. etc.. He was HIGHLY interested in hosting this get together so I don't see any problems. As for restaurants, Winter Park is loaded with them up and down the street (think mini Rodeo Dr.). It's a ritzy area of Orlando with AD's within walking distance, a very nice park, old school train station, it'd be a great place to meet. Let me get in touch with Scott and see what would work. Would you guys prefer to eat somewhere there, or have catering come in with armed security in plain clothes walking amongst us? It's your call...I think Scott mentioned something like 25-30 bucks to do all that but I'll double check.

I'll probably stay a night since it's only about a 2 hour drive for me. I'd be down with going to a park (but school might be out... it may be crazy!)

I'm not so picky about hotels. There's a great Hampton Inn by Lake Buena Vista where I stay on business. I've been more satisfied with cheaper hotels than the expensive ones in Orlando. Although the Lake Buena Vista Palace (I think?) is sweet too!

Ok guys, I just spoke with Scott at Orlando Watch Co. He is on board with everything with one slight problem. June 6th he is hosting a couple party's around the area so that may not work best with him. He asked me to get everyone's thoughts on possibly pushing it back one week to the 13th (he also said next weekend would work well but I figured it was too short of notice). Here is what he is offering: There is a Bistro within 30 feet of his store across from a courtyard (that we can use for gathering). He would provide some appetizer platters and some giveaways (just couldn't specify from what company's yet). This would be a good thing as we could eat, drink, and mingle without having to worry about driving to another location. Also, he has asked what everyone was into (how could I answer that?). I pretty much told him a little about everyone who has responded and how we are all Rolex fanatics that appreciate vintage and new pieces to look/talk about. Keep in mind that he also said if June 6 was to hard to deviate from that he may be able to work around his schedule, however he needs to know sooner rather than later. He sounded very excited on the phone about meeting everyone and bringing some rather rare pieces into his store from other clients (I'm not sure who, but I know of one that has quite the extensive rare submariner collection including black out's). So, in short...let me know if the 13th would work with everyone and we could do the whole kit and caboodle there and after I could show you guys possible the worlds most elaborate bathroom @ Luma (a bar) where if you haven't been there, I highly recommend it for people watching. It really can be quite humorous watching the cougars prowl and the martini's fly! Steve, keep your hands off the cougars, they bite!:cheers:

edit: On a side note, if your looking for something to add to your watch, He DOES have a Rolex parts acct. and can access anything you need.

cool, just saw that...I vote for 13th. Seems like it would be a better experience with the giveaways, catering, ease for the store owner, etc.. But either way I'm personally good with any date.
