Hi everyone,

I am another Melbourne Rolex loving fan! At the moment I own a Tudor Mini-Sub but am in the process of selling it off to help fund a Rolex GMT with the Pepsi Bezel of course  I was a little nervous at buying a mens sized watch but after trying a 1675, I fell for it big time!

Am I the only girl on here? Women dont seem to get into watches quite like Men do, with me being the exception of course.

OK I am off now to have a look around.....

Hi there Amanda,
I'm obviously an old hand at this, well nearly 24 hours anyway!!! I'm finding myself kind of hooked though in a weird way. It certainly seems filled with friendly and knowledgeable people.

All the best,
Pete.

Hi Amanda,

A big welcome to TRF. We do have a few ladies here, but for some reason I've managed to chase them away!! :crying: :crying:

Only yesterday we were discussing about how a large watch would look on a lady. Well, as they say, the proof of the pudding...

So, realistically, what you need to do is buy the large GMT-II and then post a pic of yourself. That should send a few hormones flying all over the place!!

And now you know why the women run away from this forum!! :banghead:

Cheers and keep posting, Amanda.

JJ

Hi there Amanda, wow... you melbournians sure are popular, soon they'll be enough to have a big get-together somewhere in aus!
Good luck with the GMT, It's been well established and documented that sports watches look great on a ladys wrist.

Hi Amanda, and welcome to TRF. No, you are not the only woman member, but they don't seem to be posting a lot right now. Glad to have you aboard! My wife has a Datejust and loves Rolex and Cartier watches, but doesn't like the computer enough to participate in online forums. Oh well...

Welcome aboard! :bye: :bye:

And then there were four! Welcome, Amanda!

I just had lunch with Lol-x today, and he told me that he'd put you on to this forum. I think we're getting close to critical mass for a TRF Melbourne chapter!

Thanks for the very warm welcome guys!

I saw the post yesterday about larger watches on women and found all your replies most interesting! I have come to the conclusion that any woman who likes watches enough to spend the money a Rolex deserves to wear it and will look fantastic in it :agree:

I look at it this way a 1675 will probably cost around the $3200AU mark if I buy OS, which is about 2k short of a brand new one, which then leaves 2k to spend another time towards say a Vintage Air King or something

See how it works? Clever eh? And best of all my partner wont know the difference!

If your partner doesn't notice, then it's clearly an indication that you need more watches!
