the first was the 1984 GMT transitional ( Mike was a great help in me getting this one :thumbsup:) the second was the 50's gold dress watch and the third was 1962 5512 :cheers:

I like the dress watch. I've never seen something like that before from Rolex. Does anyone know the history of this watch style? (OK an admittedly newbie question, but I haven't even had my Tudor for a month yet).

gpateesq, as far as I know, the rolex movement was imported into the various countries and then the gold case added in that country, not sure, but I think it was something to do with saving on duty. I have added a couple of photo's of the movement and back inner cover:thumbsup:

Excellent looking vintage pieces Phil. And they look just as good in the flesh.... I can say that from experience having held your watches in my hand.
That 5512 is just too nice, that one is definitely a keeper.
