1675 Rotor Question.

I would like to know when Rolex last used this type of rotor for the 1675 GMT.
Although, I have a 1675 from 1973 with such rotor, I thought Rolex had switch to a plain rotor in the early 70's :thinking:

Oops is should say ROTOR in the title.

Anyone has any idea about this type of rotors and when Rolex stopped using them?
Seem odd that I found it in my 1973 GMT.

is the bridge of the winding weight devise marked, (1530>1535>1555>1560>1565>)

does the watch hack?

The bridge is marked 1560. As for hacking I don't remember if it does or doesn't, The crown fell off last week.

If it has an older cal. 1560/5 that would explain the rotor.

assuming that the movement serial # starts with a (D)

can you take the watch to your watchmaker and check the speed
18000 or 19800>>>>>>>>>>1560/5 or 1570/5

i'm thinking like you, smooth top rotor for 1973(1570/5)

a wise man shared with me that all 15 series movement interchange!
yours may of been changed??? (automatic winding devise)

memory?? i don't believe that 1560/5 ever hacked

The movement serial is D357431.

We've had this GMT since '74. To my knowledge the movement was never changed, though. Rolex replaced the all red 24hr hand with a regual hand... It was serviced in 81 and 91.

I'm going to take it to my watchmaker to install a new crown.

check the speed. slow(18000) 1560/5 fast (19800) 1570/5.

its either a 1560/5 that ended up in the watch in 1973 or
a 1570/5 with a 1560 top

hack? 1570 after 1972, 1560 i don't thick it ever did.
