Vintage??

I'm sure this has been asked before so let me ask it again. Under what parameter is a Rolex considered "vintage" in this Forum?

There is no absolute definition of "vintage"...

Remember, today's vintage was yesterdays brand spanken' new..... and tomorrows vintage will be from the latest releases of today..

I'd say 20yrs old and up.
It might come from the French "vinght" (pronunced "vin") which means twenty.
It also has a different meaning when use to describe the production year of a wine.

I hate when you guys make me get the OED out. Vintage has more to do with the fact that it wine comes from a vine. First found in print in 1353. Sorry I guess this might be way OT :offtopic: :)

To me, if the specific model of a watch has not been in production for 10 years, its beginning to get there. It certainly not a 'current' model, so if its not vintage, what is it?
