I saw in the Panerai website something about a left handed model with a pic, and was manual wound. Do they have automatic mechanical lefties? That may actually turn me on to the brand.

No, the only leftie they have is the 219.
See Dmans post about which base to wear.

The base is a hand wound beauty that I am patiently waiting for.

How many times do you wind it? And how long does it stay wound? It looks like fun and at the same time appears to get old quick.

There is also the 217 Marina Militare.
Not sure exactly how many times I windmy 112 at one shot, maybe 50+ every few days. It has a power reserve of about 56 hours, so I wind it up every 2 days.

Destro baby!!
I thought the idea of a manual wind watch sounded nuts, but I now only wear manual wind watches. I love sitting down and winding all 3 of my Pannies. It is a guilty pleasure of mine that I look forward too.

And I love it! - only 200 made (this year at least) and I don't miss the date or the second hand - or the sub, it was just too small, and working in London I see too many around to keep it 'interesting' for me.
Always wear my watches on my right wrist, and the sandwich dial looks grat with the domed crystal :)
