hello there,id thought id introduce myself to you nice people.my names paul and i have an obsession for rolex.although we were never a really wealthy family my father bought a stainless steel submariner without the date when i was about 10 and i was fixed...i remember going to the dealers and asking for a catalogue and id cut all the watches out and stick em everywhere.i took voluntary redundancy when i was 21 and got £10500.unfortunatly at the time i was daft and drunk most of the money but i did fulfil a ambition and purchase a gmt master in steel (second hand) for £1750.two years later i met my current girlfriend and we needed a car so the rolie had to go.i got £1300 from a dealer as i needed the cash quickly.by the way the watch went better than the car because the head gasket had blown within a couple of weeks! anyway i now have another rolex a gmt master 2 in steel with the blue and red bezel....its my pride and joy.to be honest my stepfather bought it for me as i couldnt afford one nowadays.he was dying at the time and was a thankyou for the care i had given him.he gave it to me last christmas just before he passed away and theres no way im swopping this one for anything...the missus goes before my watch.If im honest i feel a bit silly wearing it as i feel people see it and probably think "nice fake" does this make sense?maybe im just being paranoid. anyway thanks for letting me bore you with my story and i hope to post many more......all the best paul
