View Full Version : How about a Panerai sub forum?

Seems from reading the boards lately there are a hell of a lot of Panerai owners, posts and pictures regarding this brand. While the Watches (Non-Rolex) forum is great most of the recent threads relate to this one brand. Far more than Omega, IWC etc.

Perhaps its an idea to give it a small forum of its own?

Just a suggestion guys.

I like the idea of having a seperate Panerai forum. There's certainly enough Pan owners here to support it.

Maybe I should start www.paneraiforums.com, same layout ... different watch.

I don't think we need to separate the troops. But, you could always experiment.

I must say I don't really like the idea. The beauty of having a general 'non-rolex' forum is the wonderful diversity & variety. That, I feel, is what other sites lack - they are very fragmented & become almost user unfriendly.

Just my .2c though!

I agree with Otis. There are enough Panerai forums out there already, then again, I saw the light and sold mine.

100% agree with Otis and Adrian!! Where would our friendship, love and all this laughter go if we split up over some silly watches?:banghead: :banghead:

Well IMHO not needed think nearly all our members respect all brands. And can see the merits,no matter what the manufacture.Sure we are a Rolex forum, but at least on TRF you can talk about all brands without being roasted,or being treated as a outcast.Hell you dont even to have a Rolex to be a member of TRF,just a love of watches no matter what the brand.

Right on Padi  I think the Non-Rolex board covers this topic best. It doesn't matter what brand someone has as long as they like it here they're welcome

As a big Panerai advocate I have to say I don't think the idea would work.

I have seen other fora where they have brand specific components and it just separates the members further. I think the non-Rolex area is more than sufficient and I think there are enough panny-specific sites out there. We don't need to further distill.

But we could always change this site name to www.thefriendlywatchforums.com :chuckle:

I totally agree with the two P's. There is absolutely no need or reason to split us up. While the name of the forum is The Rolex Forum, anyone who comes here and noses around will see that we are open to anyone who loves watches, no matter what the brand. That's what makes this place so great. We are inclusive of all races, creeds and watch types. Let's keep it that way.

I agree with you all. Adding a Panerai forum would split us up and that would be a sad and terrible thing. This place is one of those things that should just be left alone. It's not broken, so lets not fix it

Terrible idea, these Panerai watches are just a fad. Big, oversized and generic movements. They will all be gone before we can blink an eye.

and when people get ready to sell them, give me a call please. :chuckle:

I don't think it is a bad idea to create another sub-board, but how would we keep the non PAM owners out? :chuckle: :justkiddi

I don't like the Idea of having a panny topic. I come here to read about Rolex watches and ideas from other Rollie Lovers.
I do enjoy reading about other watches in the other watches category, but Rolex is King.
