Saw the liberty bell, independance hall, betsy's house all that cool stuff. i was shocked on how beautiful the city hall is OMG!!! that building rocks. OK Picture this the crispiest pig on a spit with the most moist meat seasond perctly roasting over 8 Hrs over a mountain of wood charcole (carbon del pais) a big caldero what we call our rice cooking pot of rice with pigeon peas and ham shanks coked perfctly till the rice cooks to the most delicious color of yellow and the aroma that can be smelled a mile away. on the side some pork pasteles (almost like a tamale but better)made from plantain or yuca (casave) stuffed with seasond pork and spices. And at the same time some body playing the quatrro a puerto rican instrument resembles a guitar but smaller with 12 strings and tamboras sort of percusion instrument and people singing and having the best time of there life. At the same time the cuba libre (run coke and lime) flowing like there is no tommorow made with Don Q and Palo viejo Rum (FIGBO) and medallas beers all over the palce. party till the morning light. And then in the morning when everybody is getting up from there long night somebody will spark up an asopao ( heavy soupe made with chicken and rice ) to help you off from the hangover for a day of playing dominoes and hanging out opening there new presents to discover your new ROLEX watch. And do it again at night. Heck Yea the good all days. We puerto ricans do not need a reason to party and when we have one we go all the way. :):cheers::dude:
