Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum...

I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find a list with pictures of the original dial colors of the Rolex 1803 Presidential (1968/1969).

If someone could please provide advice on the standard colors as well as rare colors that were released within those years I would greatly appreciate it.

Please let me know if more information is need regarding my Rolex 1803 in order to provide the information

Many thanks!

I'm not too sure on the colours, but the 1803 is characterised by the PiePan dial similar to the 1601 DateJust.

Off the top of my head I've seen: Champagne, Matt Black, silver.

Does anyone know if the 1803 came in a black dial?? If so does anyone have a picture?

cheers!

Out in the direct sun, it appears to be white, but otherwise it appears to have a very subtle golden color. I can't make up my mind whether it is picking up the golden color from light reflecting off of the case and markers or whether it might be a light patina due to age.

The only thing I'm sure of is that is very beautiful.

I've seen 1803s with a black dial. If you check eBay right now you'll see one that dates to the late fifties. I can't say for sure that I've seen one from 1968 or 1969 as the 1803 was made for many years.

I'll post a picture of my 1803 (circa 68 or 69) with Black Dial when I get home tonight.
