A question for all you strap chanin' fools out there!

I want to become one of you, and wondered what tools you use for strap/bracelet changes? Also, any tips to avoid marring the lugs on your watches?

I have a Bergeon spring bar tool model 6111. It has steel tips on it, one very narrow with a v-grrove in it, and the other very wide and flat with a large groove. I am looking at flipping the strap around on my JLC, and also may get new straps for it in different colours. Just looking for any hints on how to use the tools correctly.

Thanks in advance, Al

Al, it sounds like you have all the right tools, just need the straps.

The biggest thing I would say is take your time. You can use scotch tape over the lugs to be careful, but just take your time. The Pams are easy since it is a screw and tube, so that change is fast and easy. Though I still need to be careful since my cases are polished.

I guess that is why I have the Cape Cod cloths though. If you want some sites for straps of all different styles and sizes, just PM me mate.

Well I use them on a Speedmaster without any problems, about the same
weight as a sub head.
