Hamilton invented (at least marketed) the first quartz watch. Also, there are a few Japanese sellers where you can get the great Seiko watches. If you take a look at the movements in high end Seiko and Citizen - you'll be amazed at the level of finish and precision in these machines. Super high quality which I think (just my opinion, at least for Seiko) surpasses most if not all Swiss made watches. However, in spite of great precision, many of their automatics are not quite as accurate as the Swiss models such as the ETA 2824, etc. Great review and great comments from great Rolex owners!
