I sometimes turn the bezel on my GMT to time parking meters. If I'm not wearing a chrono, I will occasionally use it to time a walk, although I prefer one of my chronos for that purpose. If I'm wearing a chrono while travelling by plane, I will try to time wheels up to wheels down, just for fun, to see how close the pilot came to his computerized timing at the beginning of the flight.
