What Rolex will have said is they are unable to guarantee the security of the watch or the integrity while the current bracelet is fitted.

I am aware you can send a watch in sans bracelet but I didn’t make it up, and have no reason to believe he did. It surprised me too, but that’s what they told him. I also have no reason to doubt him, because this was handled through an AD where a close relative of his has been employed for well over 15 years.
