The P.900 is too small for a 44 mm watch. The caliber is tiny, only 12.5 Ligne or 28.19 mm. It's a movement made to fit in ladies watches. Looks ok in a 38 mm Due but once you put it in a 44 mm watch, the dial design is a mess. Nothing aligns. Date and small seconds at 9 o'clock are to close to the center. IWC has the same issues with this miniature movement.

The dial layout is ok in the 42 mm version though but see for yourself. They tried to optically correct the awkward position of the date window by adding facets to the aperture but it didn't really help imo.




The P.9010 would have been the better choice but obviously the P.900 costs Panerai a lot less, so instead of downsizing the 47 mm version, they simply blew up the 42 mm watch.
