It sounds like a classic case of operator error
Stop winding the crown forwards to set the time as the hands will rotate anticlockwise
Winding the crown forward to advance the time is a luxury that we fellow 31xx movements owners enjoy
If you hack the movement.
Is the watch still spot on twice a day?
