Thank you everyone! Much appreciated. A number of people mentioned MKII; the change in bezel color is what got me to finally pull the trigger. I also missed having a Sub.
I think this reference truly brings together all the best aspects of the Sub’s story in one watch; from the nostalgia it invokes to the modern manufacturing technology that Rolex uses. Few if any can compete.
