Most of these watches can be sold immediately. I don't know why an AD would ever need to require a deposit. Deposits were and are used by merchants for special order items, which they probably could not sell easily in their store if the person ordering the item backed out. With Rolex, the AD is borrowing your money interest free, it seems to me.
