I'd still try to negotiate a short return period to inspect the piece in person. The pictures look thorough, but some sellers pick and choose the best pictures that are not always entirely representative of a watch.

Thank you! Yes, I agree it looks super nice. Originally wanted a 5231g and found a 2024 model at SRP. But I found it a bit too expensive and wears big on my wrist. The 5110P on the other hand, I haven’t had the opportunity to wear yet but based on the pictures, should wear much better and much much easier to read the time.

I won’t be buying unseen. My friend said the same thing about the watch not having angles and sharp edges so should being polished should be a non-issue

I doubt the original owner ordered the extract here as they wouldn't get much additional info. The certificate will show the production date and they will know when they bought it. More likely another owner and/or current seller - maybe specifically for this planned sale - or when they got the watch serviced.

Just to add, the box looks ok to me for an early 2000s watch. I think the current darker and glossy boxes were introduced between 2005 and 2010 but I may be off by a year or two.

I also found one 5110P locally for 54000USD about 8000USD more expensive but single owner, unpolished example, safe queen and also full set. Dated 2002 and serviced by Patek 2010.

Does the watch being unpolished and single owned justify the 8500USD premium?
