I picked up a grail in Alicante (Spain) 3 years ago, from a private seller, a VC Patrimony 85180. This is the seaside with nice beaches, very chilled.
I seized the opportunity to spend a few days there with wife and kids, while I took posession of the piece. The hotel had a safe, but it was stressful because they have the master key to the safe (digital code system). So any member of staff with the key could have stolen the watch. I won't repeat the experience. Either I take one luxury watch and it stays on my wrist 24/7, or I only take beaters.
