RB straps tend to mount with strap sticking straight down, this can cause an odd look/fit with 40mm cases if you have a larger/flat wrist like me. Everest has been pure perfection on my GMT.
Conversely I love the RB on my SD43, the mount dynamic is not a problem on the larger case as the lugs are closer to the ends of my wrist.
Cant speak on the tang buckle versions, all of mine have retained the factory clasp.
My 2cents- Everest on your Sub/Daytona. RB on the DSSD.

This is my experience as well. The RB turns down at the lugs which looks really good but can sort of pinch your wrist if you have a larger wrist and a smaller watch. With the SD43 it fits me perfectly and looks terrific. But on smaller watches it can be slightly less comfortable.
Everest flares out from the lugs, similar to Rolex OF. So maybe more comfortable for some folks but not nearly as sharp looking IMO.
I don't have it on mine right now but here's a picture from a year or so ago. I'm very happy with it and will be putting it back on for the summer next month.
