I would rather have one or two Rolex watches than 30 or 100 lesser quality watches.
I apply this to all I do in life. I would rather pay more up front for a better item, be it a television, or a firearm and have the best there is and enjoy it. I have never regretted buying the very best of anything that I could afford in my life.
