Just seen this site! I don't think any of you will ever regret your decision.
I was given mine in 1968 and still wear it every day. It cost £50. I always swim with it on preferring to take it into the sea on my wrist to leaving it for thieves on the beach.
I have had it serviced twice times in 42 years and it is with Rolex now for a third service!
It is a simple stainless steel watch which has never lost its appeal in all that time, always looking appropriate as we have both aged! It is always much admired as well. As you have all said ,a true Classic.
