I bought my first DateJust in 1986, of course with a Tritium dial......I thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen......I would specify Tritium in a heartbeat over a luminous substance that has to be "charged up" under a light source......Tritium glows no matter how much or how little light it is exposed to....that's what makes it so brilliant, the luminosity you see when you first enter the darkness is exactly the same no matter how long you stay in the dark....once your eyes have grown accustomed to the dark the glow from it is just fantastic......just such a shame it has a half life......
